Deadpool, Kidpool and Lynda Carter fight together for SickKids in new video

After the fight with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) to stop Cassandra Nova (Emma Corrin) and save his world Deadpool and Wolverinethe mercenary with the mouth, now has to deal with a much bigger enemy – childhood illness. As part of Ryan Reynolds and Maximum Effort’s annual Christmas video to support the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids): Deadpool gets on Santa’s sleigh with Kidpool (don’t ask how he got it) (Inez Reynolds) to fight for the health and well-being of the little ones. However, they are a bit too R-rated, which is why they recruited a very “wonderful woman” for the occasion Lynda Carter. Together they want to spread Christmas cheer and encourage everyone to donate to a good cause that will improve a child’s life this holiday season.

The video begins with Deadpool taking on the duties of Santa Claus, randomly handing out presents while Kidpool asks what they should do next. Then the foul-mouthed hero suggests eliminating sick children… or, well, eliminating children’s illness. They decide they’re both a little too naughty to perform in front of real children when their wish for a better representative comes true with the arrival of Carter with superhero flair. To raise money for SickKids, they want Carter to do “the right thing” to get back to her old life Wonder Woman Costume from the 1975 television series. Unfortunately, DC’s lawyers are cheapskates, and she can only imagine herself in Reynolds’ infamous ugly Christmas sweater, much to Deadpool’s dismay. Still, their legendary presence is welcome in an all-important mission that needs all the support it can get.

This is the sixth year Reynolds has partnered with SickKids for their fundraising campaign, and what better time to unwrap his iconic costume than afterward Deadpool and Wolverine became the box office hit of the year. He has worked with NHL stars in previous promotional videos Austin Matthews and singer Michael Buble to help children become healthy little terrors again, and witnessed his sweater magically come to life Seth Rogen‘s voice. More so, in a year when he and his wife Blake Lively Despite being dominated at the box office, both want to bring their superpowers to SickKids with an arrangement The couple will match all donations made up to $500,000 from now until December 24th. The video is a fun way to spread the word and have a little more fun with the character while trying to get the multi-talented Carter back in his suit.

What exactly does SickKids do?

The hospital for sick children was built in 1875 Elizabeth McMaster and other Toronto women came together to open a makeshift hospital specifically designed to help children in need. Since then, the foundation has grown significantly and become a force in the research and treatment of diseases and other conditions affecting children, with an integrative, family-centered approach that makes all patients feel welcome. However, their efforts do not end there They are also dedicated to training the next generation of researchers and physicians who will continue their mission into the future. Ultimately, the goal is to push the boundaries of childcare by working together to create a better future for the youngest among us. Their Precision Child Health is at the heart of this and aims to inspire people around the world to create more personalized and equitable healthcare for children.
