Wednesday morning report

Temperatures are already cooling down after reaching the mid-60s yesterday. Today will still be mild, with rain developing in the mountains in metropolitan areas this afternoon and evening.

Behind this system, much colder air penetrates for a few days. The core of the cold will arrive this weekend and bottom out Monday morning. Then a slight warming trend sets in at Christmas.
