December 2024 streaming horror highlights

It may be December, but luckily there’s a lot more than just holiday horror on streaming this month. In addition to a plethora of repertoire titles being added to your favorite platforms, December brings with it a solid number of new release titles to keep you up to speed on the horror of 2024, from big box office releases to indie gems.

Here are ten notable horror titles available to stream December 2024 Information about some of the most popular streaming services and when/where you can watch them.


Beetlejuice Beetlejuice – Max (12/6)

The sequel to Tim BurtonThe cult hit from 1988 brings together three generations of Deetz women on another journey into the Wederworld – The Ghost with the Most. “Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter Astrid discovers the mysterious model of the city in the attic and the portal to the afterlife is accidentally opened.” Michael Keaton returns to his iconic role alongside the Oscar nominee Winona Ryder (Stranger Things) as Lydia Deetz and Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) as Delia Deetz.

Jason Bateman And Taron Egerton Star in the Christmas thriller set at the airport Hand luggage out of Jaume Collet Serra (Orphan, The Shallows). In the Christmas thriller, “a young TSA agent struggles to outwit a mysterious traveler who blackmails him into smuggling a dangerous package onto a Christmas Eve flight.” Look out for this Netflix to keep you excited on Friday the 13th.

NEON’s horror film cuckoo with Hunter Shepherd And Dan Stevens brings with it the craziness of this holiday season. Luz director Tilman SingerShot on 35mm film, the film tells the story of 17-year-old Gretchen (Schafer), who leaves her American home to live with her father and moves with his new family to a resort in the German Alps. When they arrive at their future residence, they are greeted by Mr. König (Stevens), their father’s boss, who shows an inexplicable interest in Gretchen’s mute half-sister Alma.


Deus Irae – SCREAM BOX (12/10)

In this Argentine exorcism film “Father Javier, a priest who leads a shattered existence. On the one hand he supports families who claim to have witnessed miracles, on the other hand he is one of a trio of excommunicated priests who hunt down the possessed in order to exorcise them on their own terms: with Bibles, fire and shotguns. But when the only way to destroy evil is to become something even worse, he must ask himself how much of his own humanity – or sanity – he is willing to sacrifice to defeat the devil.”

Jessica Belkin It reads: “A young waitress working the night shift alone at a rural roadside inn finds herself in a fight for her life when she is terrorized by a group of masked attackers. With no one to turn to, she will do whatever it takes to survive the night, even if it means backlash.”


The last video store – Arrow Player (12/10)

This love letter to the video store era will be released on December 10th as a limited edition Blu-ray and SVOD via Arrow. The feature film debut of the directing duo Cody Kennedy And Tim Rutherford is described as “Last action hero hits evil Dead” with an evil curse that forces our video store heroes to face a slew of “classic movie villains drawn from the bowels of B-movies themselves.”


Smile 2 – Paramount+

Naomi Scott stars in Paramount Pictures. Presents a Temple Hill production, a Parker Finn film “SMILE 2.”

The far more ambitious and intense sequel to Parker Finn is now available to stream at home. In Smile 2“Global pop sensation Skye Riley is about to embark on a new world tour (Naomi Scott) experiences increasingly terrible and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and pressures of fame, Skye is forced to confront her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.”


Don’t speak evil – Peacock (12/6)

Mackenzie Davis (Terminator: Dark Fate, Happiest Season) And James McAvoy (Divided, glass) stars in this American remake of James Watkins (The Woman in Black, Eden Lake). The film states: “After befriending a British couple with a mute son, Americans Ben and Louise accept an unusual invitation to bring their daughter to an idyllic country estate for a weekend. But when they discover their hosts are hiding sinister motives, Ben and Louise fear their family could become pawns in a disturbing conspiracy.”


Street trash – SCREAMBOX (December 27th)

Fried Barry director Ryan Kruger reimagines the 1987 cult Melt film as a standalone spiritual sequel. In 2050, global economic turmoil has devastated the middle class in Cape Town, South Africa. The local government hatches an evil plan to evict the homeless population using a sinister chemical agent called “V.” They didn’t expect a ragtag group of homeless friends to fight back. The growing gap between rich and poor has never been greater.
