Defenses (DEF) Start Week 15 (2024): Best Fantasy Playoffs Streaming Options

The fantasy playoffs are just around the corner. The margin of error for fantasy managers is razor thin. A poor performance from a D/ST can destroy title dreams.

Playing the wrong defense can leave managers with a zero (or worse) in their lineup. Taking advantage of the waiver wire and finding the matchup that benefits the defense is critical.

Below, we’ll take a look at the top D/ST streamers and Week 15 starts, while also taking a look at the entire Fantasy Football Playoff schedule.

Best DST Streaming Options for Week 15

Arizona Cardinals vs. New England Patriots

The Cardinals are quietly a top-12 D/ST fantasy football team and had three straight double-digit standard scoring scores to start Week 13 (vs. Chicago, v. New York Jets, at Seattle). The schedule is favorable again after the duel with Minnesota. They will host Seattle in Week 14, the Patriots in Week 15 and then travel to Carolina. The Patriots and Panthers are two of the four lowest-scoring teams in football.

Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers

Dallas’ defense has improved since the returns of Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland. Parsons has 4.5 sacks in four games.

They’re probably shaky at best against above-average offenses. With Cincinnati, Tampa Bay and Philadelphia still on the schedule, the Dallas D/ST can be used in just one more game, Week 15 at Carolina.

Baltimore Ravens at New York Giants

The Baltimore Ravens face the New York Giants in Week 15. They are the top defense to add if available (70% of roster). Baltimore has allowed the second-most passing yards per game, but neither Tommy DeVito nor Drew Lock will benefit. The Giants average the fewest points in the league. Expect several sacks and a turnover or two in this matchup.

Best Fantasy Playoff DST Schedules (Weeks 15-17)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Week 15 at the Los Angeles Chargers
  • Week 16 in Dallas
  • Week 17 vs. Carolina

The Buccaneers were not scheduled to start Week 15. However, the games before and after Los Angeles are fascinating. Tampa Bay dominated the Giants in Week 12. A preview of the favorable Week 17 game against Carolina came in Week 13. The Dallas offense was difficult to watch with Cooper Rush under center. On average there are 1.8 giveaways per game. The Bucs D/ST should be anywhere on the roster.

Buffalo Bills

  • Week 15 in Detroit
  • Week 16 vs. New England
  • Week 17 vs. New York Jets

Skip Detroit, and the Bills host two low-scoring division opponents in Weeks 16 and 17. The Patriots offensive line gives up a significant number of sacks. The Jets may be out by Week 17. Both offenses average less than 19 points per game. Additionally, the weather in Buffalo in late December could benefit the defense.
