VA employees and elected officials say that critical staff, including the health personnel assigned to the veteran crisis, have been released.

Washington – The Ministry of Veteran Affairs has tried to use some of the health care employees released, since new employees turn to other work that they could go into a future cleaning next, said selected civil servants and VA employees.

The department said that more than 1,000 VA employees were released in the middle of the comprehensive layoffs of federal workers throughout the government. The released employees included probationary workers – depending on the position for two years or less at the workplace.
