“Demi did everything she could to keep Ashton out of compromising and tempting situations, and that definitely kept him away from those crazy situations you hear about in Diddy’s case,” the source said Yahoo!.

They believed Kutcher owed Moore a debt of gratitude for keeping him on a “short leash” during perhaps his most wildly partying years.

“Sure, Demi had to tolerate Ashton’s friendship with a complete outsider like Danny Masterson, but that was a relationship that existed before she met Ashton,” the source said.

“I don’t think she ever allowed him to get that close to Diddy, and for good reason!”

Moore himself reportedly had little interest in the party scene: “While they were together, they had a lively love life, but there were no group situations and there wasn’t much ‘celebrity partying,'” the source explained.

Combs confirmed that his club adventures with Kutcher ended when Moore took the stage. “I first met Ashton Kutcher when we were both at MTV. He did Punk’d and I did Making the Band. For a while we were a pack of rats with Jamie Foxx, hanging out and going to clubs,” Combs wrote for Time.

“I remember him being with Demi one night, maybe for the first time, and calling a few weeks later to tell me he was in love. That was the end of our visit to the club.”
