Dense fog makes travel difficult as our inversion strengthens

Weather summary

A persistent low-level inversion will continue to bring fog and low clouds to the lower Treasure Valley, Long Valley and surrounding areas through Saturday, while Ada County will have areas of morning fog and clouds, followed by afternoon sunshine and temperatures as high as 42 ° give way. High pressure ensures that the sky above the inversion is mostly clear, daytime temperatures are mild and there is light wind. At some of our higher elevations, temperatures will reach the 50s.

A system could break the inversion by Saturday with some mountain snow and valley showers, but that’s not entirely certain yet.
