Did Kamala Harris decline Joe Rogan’s podcast invitation? Find out

Kamala Harris was all over television and social media as she promoted herself during the United States presidential election. But it seems she has had to turn down some of her appearances, particularly her appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Rogan, a Donald Trump supporter, had passed on an invitation to Harris, but her episode never materialized as she reportedly did not accept it. Many people are wondering why she made this decision.

It seems that she initially agreed to appear on his online show. Things newspaper mentioned that she was available to appear on his podcast while Rogan was in Austin, according to The Hollywood Reporter. However, her team discovered that the podcast host would actually be speaking to Donald Trump that day.

Stephanie Cutter, Harris’ associate, reportedly discussed the matter and said, “She (Harris) was ready, willing to attack Joe Rogan.” So we had discussions with Joe Rogan’s team. They were great. They wanted us to come with them. We wanted to move forward. We tried to find a date to make it work, but in the end we just couldn’t find a date.”

She further explained that it was a “very short race with a limited number of days” which prevented rescheduling.

However, it appears that there was another major show that reportedly turned down Harris’ appearance – none other than Hot Ones.

According to The Things, THR’s report mentioned that Harris would have liked to appear on the aforementioned show, but that never worked out. Cutter shared the reason for this and explained that the rejection was not personal.

She recalled: “I think if I remember correctly, they didn’t want to get into politics at Hot Ones… They didn’t want to do politics, so they didn’t want to take us (Donald Trump) with them.”

However, Cutter said that under the right circumstances, Harris would consider speaking to Rogan in the future.
