Disneyland draws long lines because of viral food hack – Orange County Register

A viral Disneyland food hack that was supposed to disappear at the end of the Halloween season and is still attracting passionate new fans will stick around through the end of the year, and perhaps longer if the social media hype continues.

Disneyland chefs, watching park visitors slicing the cheese-garlic pretzel bread and stuffing a smoked bratwurst into it, decided to add the food hack to the menu at Edelweiss Snacks, across from the Matterhorn Bob entrance in Fantasyland.

Disneyland introduced the $13 Garlic Cheese Sauté in August as a limited-time item during the Halloween season — but now it’s on the season’s holiday menu and, given its popularity, may never go away.

“I love that this was a hack you did in the park,” Food Beast said on Instagram. “Now you can just order it.”

According to MiceChat, Edelweiss Snacks has now extended the standby queue to curb the line of hungry Disneylanders waiting to purchase a garlic cheese brat.

“Now there is a taped line to manage the queue,” said MiceChat.

The professional tip to avoid long lines at Edelweiss Snacks: Order mobile in advance.

MiceChat reduced the standby wait time from more than 30 minutes to 5 minutes by using the Disneyland app to order the Garlic Cheesy Brat.

Food hack “Fantasyland” continues to receive rave reviews.

“Delicious,” according to MiceChat. “It’s a good thing that calories don’t count at the theme park.”

“I’m overwhelmed,” A&E Disney Adventures wrote on Instagram. “It’s soooo good.”

“The Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread is great on its own,” says WDW News Today. “The addition of a bratwurst inside makes it a theme park hit.”

The big question: How long does it take for the Garlic Cheesy Brat to transition from a seasonal offering to the everyday menu at Edelweiss Snacks?
