After the second week of the regular season, the Padres and Dodgers exchanged places in the power ranking. Now San Diego is sitting the highest MLB team with a 10: 3 record.

Los Angeles returns to the Dodger Stadium on Friday to get a series against the Cubs that take fifth place in Newsweek’s power ranking. The Dodgers are currently unbeaten in their home stadium in 2025, which can help the team get back to the top of the Power ranking.

The first Baseman Freddie Freeman will probably also return from the injury to the game on Friday. The Dodgers Optioned Catcher Hunter Fedducia, which indicates that the organization solves space for Freeman’s return.

Freeman injured his surgically repaired ankle by slipping into the shower. The injury limited him to three games in the regular season. But Freeman was supposed to be back to his Bobblead Nacht in time, which will celebrate his walk-off grand Slam in the World Series.

The pensioner Kiké Hernández filled out on the first basis for Freeman. With the return of Freeman, Hernández can be used around the diamond where it is best used.

The season is still early, so the Dodgers have enough time to develop the problems with which they were confronted and to reclaim the top position in the power ranking.
