Dodger’s squad: Justin Wrobleski remembered, Matt Sauer was optimal for OKC

As expected, the Dodgers called the left -hander Justin Wrobleski to start against the Nationals in Washington DC on Tuesday evening, and reliever Matt Sauer was optimized after picking up the last five outs of the defeat on Monday evening.

Sauer was called on Sunday when Blake Snell was put on the injured list with inflammation of the left shoulder. In his two stints with the Dodgers this season Sauer played one of his three active games. This came in Washington DC at the start of the series when the right-handed Anthony Banda made it easier with a runner in the seventh in the seventh in the seventh in the second basis with a 5: 2-down value.

Sauer let a double plate that inherited the runner, but otherwise received five outs to reach the eighth inning. The Dodgers needed a squad square for Wrobleski, and Sauer’s multi-piece, 24-pitch excursion made it the least available reliever for Tuesday and probably for the rest of the series.

In spring training, Wrobleski impressed with nine strikes for a walk in his 9⅓ -in -in and allowed two runs. He was on the Dodgers travel schedule to Japan and threw two more goalless Innerings with three rashes in the first exhibition game in the Tokyo Dome against the Yomiuri giants.

The left-hander held the momentum in his first start in Triple-A and beat El Paso 5⅔ goalless innings last Wednesday. He will compete against the Nationals on Tuesday for five days.

This is the second time that Wrobleski and Sauer were involved in the same transaction, since Wrobleski was active against the Cubs for the opening day, but was selected the next day to make room for adding Sauerer.

Snell will miss at least two starts and a meeting with the team doctor Dr. Neal Elattrache will determine the next steps in his rehab this week. It remains to be seen whether Wrobleski will remain fulfilling this role next week, how the Dodgers will probably call Landon -Knack to start in Washington DC on Wednesday and would also need a corresponding squad train.

But that’s a morning Problem and today belongs to Wrobleski.
