Dodgers Star Shohei Ohtani and Mrs. Mamiko welcome the birth of the first child

The designated Hitter and Global Superstar Shohei Ohtani from Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Saturday that he and his wife Mamiko greeted a little girl – the couple’s first child.

“I am so grateful to my loving wife that our healthy beautiful daughter gave birth,” wrote Ohtani in the post. “To my daughter, thank you for making us very nervous, but super anxious parents.

“I would also like to thank the Dodgers organization, my teammates and fans for their constant support and friendly encouragement words.”

The social media contribution contained a photo of the hands of the proud parents, who held a few newborn feet.

Ohtani missed the game of Los Angeles Dodgers against the Texas Rangers on Friday when he stayed with his wife before birth.

According to MLB.com, the Japanese star is on the paternity list on which it can stay up to three days. If he needs more free time, it can be placed on the limited list.

There is an “chance” that Ohtani will return to the team later this weekend.

“He is a very good sub -part, he loves his sleep, so it will be interesting to see how sleep wins or does not go out if you have a baby,” said Roberts.

The Dodgers, who defeated the Rangers 3-0 on Friday in Ohtan, have two more games in Texas on Saturday and Sunday. You will then travel to Chicago to take over the Cubs on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Ohtani announced in February 2024 that he had married Mamiko Tanaka, a former star for the Fujitsu Red Wave in the Japan basketball league of women, although he initially kept her identity secret before publishing a photo of her two weeks two weeks later.

In December, he announced that they would expect their first child and publish an image on Instagram of his dog Decoy that lies in addition to a sonogram picture, a baby -steered suit and tiny shoes.
