Does New Jersey love fruitcake at Christmas time?

Is there a good fruit cake?

I think the term applies perfectly when it comes to the Christmas tradition of fruit cake, it’s a love-hate relationship and people are either on one side of the cake or the other. Our very unscientific survey suggests that there are more “haters” when it comes to the fruity holiday confection. Let’s take a look at what they have to say about the legendary fruitcake!

Danielle: There is no such thing, lol. It’s disgusting

Beverly: Ye Olde English Fruitcake. Shop Rite gets them in December, but they sell out quickly

Al: Collin Street Bakery in Texas

John: In the institution where one was filmed, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest

Kathy: First time I heard that!

Jack: Is there such a thing as a good fruitcake?

Bob: Congress

Andria: The third floor is full of them

Patricia: I love fruitcake

Rick: Look in the mirror LOL

Louise: In the trash can lol

Roseanne: A huge selection at Mara Lago

Leon: At his inauguration in January

Sean: The White House

Ellen: In the trash! LOL

Andy: Check out the anchor chairs at WOBM lol

As we can see, there isn’t much positive feedback when it comes to the infamous fruitcake. From the feedback, two or three places were mentioned where you can get a good fruit cake. Shop Rite, QVCand online at Cullin Street Bakery.

I love toasting the fruit cake and buttering it, I like it that way. Try it and see if you like it too. Toast your piece and spread it with butter and it will be on your Christmas snack list. We had a listener call and his wife is making French toast with fruit cake, that’s new and maybe it’s great, I’ll have to try that.
