Doge employee Edward Coristine ends up at CISA with DHS -E

Edward Coristine, a 19-year-old employee of the Ministry for the government of billionaire Elon Musk with a reported interaction with hacking groups, has received physical access to building equipment in cyber security and the infrastructure security authority.

Coristine is listed with a DHS -E email address and was seen in the CISA, according to a person who was shown with the matter and a directory picture that was shown by NEXTGOV/FCW. It is not clear which systems he had access to. CISA and DHS did not immediately respond to a request for comments.

Various media reports have bound by Corist in interactions with cyber criminals. A report by the independent cybersecurity journalist Brian Krebs linked Coristin with a cybercrime syndicate known as COM. In conversations with the cybercrime community, he allegedly used the “level” handle and visited interaction centers that made hacking activities possible.

Coristine was dismissed by a company, Path Networks, after they had exceeded internal corporate secrets to a competitor, also reported Krebs and Bloomberg News. The decision to place Coristine in Cisa means that it is now embedded in an agency that contains US secret services about global cyber threats.

At the beginning of February, Wired reported that a Coristine connected telegram handle 2022 had set up a hacking service. The requested payload was a distributed denial of service attack that was used to overwhelm a server with bot traffic that has to crash.

Coristine was a former intern at Brain Implant Startup Neuralink, another musk company. Coristine and another Doge employee, Luke Faritor, are listed in directories from the internal Ministry of Foreign Affairs. NEXTGOV/FCW previously reported.

In the past few days, the cyber agency has released around 130 employees, including those who were discontinued as part of a new Talent Management Systems program to lure top -technical talents from the private sector by offering higher salaries . It also held the security activities of the choice and put the employees who focused on counteracting mission and disinformation in administrative leave.
