Don’t let the finale get you down – relax with the Cougar Countdown!

The College of Charleston is preparing for end-of-semester final exams. Annually, the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of the Provost/Department of Academic Affairs partner to conduct the Cougar Countdown, a series of non-academic activities planned for students prior to final exams. The countdown for this semester runs from December 2nd to 4th, 2024.

“Cougar Countdown provides students with stimulating and stress-relieving activities during finals week,” he says Lindy ColemanDirector of the Center for Student Learning. “Cougar Countdown has been a tradition at the College of Charleston since 2009 and has consistently provided end-of-semester encouragement and support over the past 30 weeks of exams!”

Many events take place on Rivers Green, making it convenient for students traveling between their exam locations and Addlestone Library to stop and take a 5-10 minute break – whether to meet a therapy dog pet or have a coffee, decorate a cookie or take a selfie with Clyde or President Andrew T. Hsu!
