Drone activity near Trump Bedminster, an Army arsenal still under investigation by the FAA

Authorities are still investigating mysterious drone activity spotted several times in northern New Jersey in recent days, including near President-elect Trump’s Bedminster Golf Club.

Multiple videos show drones flying in Somerset and Morris counties in recent weeks, including Dec. 1 and Dec. 3. In a November 25 video, a Morris County resident named Mike Walsh spotted drones flying over Black River Middle School in Chester.

“I can see three drones in this view,” Walsh says in the video. “I see them coming right here.”

The Morris County border is two miles north of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, which is in Somerset County. Drone sightings have also been spotted in Bernardsville, Mendham and Parsippany, among other cities in the Garden State.

On Tuesday, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed to Fox News Digital that an unusual drone was spotted in the skies of north-central New Jersey on November 18th.

In response, the FAA issued two temporary flight restrictions. One of the flight restrictions affects the airspace over the Trump estate and is in effect until the end of this week.

“At the request of federal safety partners, the FAA has issued two temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) that prohibit drone flights over the Picatinny Arsenal military base and the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster,” the agency said.

The flight restriction for Picatinny Arsenal, a US Army research center, is in effect until December 26th.

“The safe integration of drones into the national airspace system is the FAA’s top priority,” the FAA told Fox News Digital. “We review all reports of unauthorized drone operations and, if necessary, investigate.”

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Fox News Digital on Wednesday that it is investigating the incident along with other agencies. Fox News Digital reached out to the FBI’s Newark field office, New Jersey State Police and the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office for additional information.
