San Antonio – Basketball newcomer to the Duke men Cooper Flag has been appointed winner of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) PLICK and newcomer to the year. Zion Williamson (2019).

The flag, which comes from Newport in Maine, becomes a seventh Blue Devil, which is appointed NABC National Player of the Year, and the fourth Blue Devil, who receives the “National Freshman of the Year” award from the coaches Association.

Flagg, who turned 18 in December 2024, is the best rated Evanmiya player with a combined offensive and defensive performance of 10.81 and at the same time led the Kenpom Player of the Year value with a rating of 2.710.

The 6-9, 205-pound newcomer leads Duke No. 1 in points (682), rebounds (271), assists (151) and steals (50) and is second in the blocks (47). It is one of the top -10 of the ACC in four of the five most important statistical categories – gate (3rd), rebounding (9th), assists (8th) and blocked shots (8th). He received both ACC players and Rookie of the Week this season this season. His 12 Acc -Rookie of the Week quotes are a new conference record.

Flagg became the youngest player in NCAA history, who broke a player game against Notre Dame with 42 points against Notre Dame on January 11th and the first NCAAA tournament performance with at least 30 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three blocks in Duke, which on March 27, with the NCAA tournament with at least 30 points in the back NCAA tournaments were classified with 42 points.

With his NABC honor, Flagg has now been elected both the international of the year and the newcomer of the year by two organizations, since he already received the awards from the United States Basketball Writers Associated (USBWA). Flagg also swept the Acc-player and Rookie of the Year Award RJ Barrett 2019.

The NABC Awards, coordinated by NABC Member trainers, are awarded every season to outstanding student athletes in NCAA divisions I, II and III, the NAIA and two-year universities.

Flagg is the 12th various Blue Devil, who wins the recognition of the international of the year, and the ninth, who is appointed national player of the year in a single season. The nation leads the seven NABC players of the year of the Blue Devils ahead of Kansas and North Carolina, each have four.
