E. Faye Williams: Making America Great Again?

(TriceEdneyWire.com) – When “Make America Great Again” was first brought to our attention, many of us who had never heard of “The Donald,” as one of his spouses constantly called him, didn’t know what kind a shock we were there for many years.

My good friend, the late Dick Gregory, knew who he was and said to me, “He acts like America was once great!” As we learned more about Trump, we realized he didn’t mean that America was once great for black people! Perhaps he never looked into the nation’s history, how people of African descent were forced to come to America, and how our ancestors were treated when they arrived, and how that treatment never stopped.

We only have to look at the disrespectful and vulgar way Trump treated Vice President Kamala Harris during the recent presidential election. She bypassed him when it came to teaching, training, and relevant experience. I was shocked that many normally intelligent men of all races remained silent or voted for Trump. Despite the many disappointments, I applaud Vice President Kamala Harris for rising above the shameful things she faces every day. Even some Democratic men remained silent until the end of the election, launching into what they should and shouldn’t have said or done. Where were they during the election? She was a brilliant opponent before and after the election.

In a sane world, there is no way more people would have chosen Trump over Vice President Harris. He’s not allowed to touch her! The election was a clear example of how to “Make America Great Again” means not being Black, not being a woman, not being queer! I don’t understand who these women who voted for Trump are! Now they don’t have to worry about how Trump will treat women. They know because they know exactly who he chose first who has a similar reputation to him. Gaetz was someone who caused chaos during his time in Congress! He was so bad that he was thrown out of the race before he even made it to a confirmation hearing – and that was at the hands of Trump’s own party. Everyone who voted for Trump knew what they were getting. He still dangles in front of us much more, just as bad or worse than Gaetz. Some commit sexual AND sexist misconduct!

I recently saw a message from a young woman who asked, “Can you imagine the stupidest man in the country threatening to destroy the Department of Education?” I don’t have to tell you who she meant! If you read Project 2025 you will find many more of Trump’s plans. You will be shocked. There is a plan to consolidate executive power – with Trump. Students can forget about financial aid! He will infuse government and society with conservative Christian values ​​and a plan to take partisan control of the Justice Department, the Commerce Department, the FBI, federal communications, the Department of Homeland Security and more. There will be less work from home. Many government jobs are being cut!

He promised much revenge and retribution. He will abolish DEI and ban books! We have to find out if we will ever have a chance to vote again! You may remember him telling us that this last election may be the last time we have to vote! Anyone who has worked hard all their life can lose their social security. He promised to protect women whether we like it or not! Be careful with this threat knowing what he was convicted of doing to women! It’s too much to tell you everything he promised, but I can assure you that your vote for him is one you will regret! He will become so authoritarian in a few days. Don’t say he didn’t tell you!
