Eagles vs. Steelers Predictions for Week 15 of the NFL Season – NBC Sports Philadelphia

The Eagles (11-2) host the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3) at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday afternoon.

Let’s get to the predictions:

Ruben Frank (7-6)

It would be easy to face the Eagles this week. They face a Steelers team that is 10-3, in first place in the AFC North, has won seven of its last eight games, has an NFL-best 4-0 mark against winning teams and has a likely Hall of Famer -Quarterback has No. 5 scoring defense and has only allowed one 100-yard rusher. Considering the off-field drama surrounding the Eagles this week, it seems like there are a lot of conspiracies against the Eagles. But despite all that, I’m choosing the Eagles. This team is so talented and so focused and a real Super Bowl contender, and a narrow win over the Panthers or some unfortunate comments from Brandon Graham did nothing to change my mind about it. I think things are fine between Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown, and while I have concerns about the passing game and Jake Elliott, I still think the Eagles will move on this weekend. Ten in a row would be the longest winning streak in franchise history, and with only the Commanders, Cowboys and Giants remaining after the Steelers, a win on Sunday would make a 13-game winning streak to end the season a realistic goal. That’s a difficult question. One of the Eagles’ biggest challenges this year and one I think they will rise to.

Dave Zangaro (8-5)

This should be a fun game between two physical teams. Maybe you have a different feeling about the Eagles because of this week’s drama, but I’m not on board with that. They’re still on a nine-game winning streak and the formula of running the ball and playing strong defense is working. Sure, the passing game has to be better than it was against the Panthers, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty of talent on their roster. I think they’ll be able to figure it out. The Eagles are the more talented team in this game. The Eagles’ defense is still a tough opponent for the Steelers, especially without top receiver George Pickens. I expect Vic Fangio’s defense to have a good game on Saturday. And while it may not be a 30-point game for the Eagles offense, they should be able to put up enough points to win this game and extend this winning streak to 10 games, which is a new franchise record a single game would mean season.

Barrett Brooks (10-3)

The focus is here! The Eagles will be ready and focused for the Battle of Pennsylvania. All the extra outside interference has shaken this team up. This game will probably be boring for casual fans. But I love watching these defensive battles. I look forward to seeing the checks and balances put in place to stop both of these offenses this Sunday. The Steelers have the fourth-best defense against the run. But the Eagles’ offense beat the No. 1 Raven defense on the run. My main matchup will be a clash of the titans, TJ Watt vs Lane Johnson. Whoever wins this battle will probably win the game.

Eagles 24, Steelers 17

Mike Mulhern (10-3)

Just when it seemed like the Eagles might be quietly marching into the postseason, a week of drama made headlines. It wasn’t just a “passing” comment from AJ Brown either. He pointed out the team’s offensive woes with good reason. It’s worth pointing the finger at the 83 yards rushing through the air against the lowly Panthers, and I expect there will be immediate adjustments on Sunday against the Steelers. Mike Tomlin’s group plays a lot of man coverage with just a single high safety, so it’s safe to assume Jalen Hurts will have plenty of opportunities to get his (former?) best friend the ball. Brown led the Steelers to 156 yards and three touchdowns during the 2022 season. He won’t achieve those goals but expects a big day for No. 11.

On the other hand, Russell Wilson will be without George Pickens, who is out with a hamstring injury. It’s a big blow to the Steelers’ offense, which itself likes to take deep shots. Najee Harris will rack up yards similar to what Chuba Hubbard did for the Panthers on Sunday, but Pittsburgh will have a hard time making big plays. It will be the comeback game the Eagles need.
