EID-UL-FITR 2025 preparations in Pakistan

When Eid-Ul-Fitr 2025 approaches, Pakistaner is eagerly preparing to celebrate this important occasion. A significant part of the celebrations includes the tradition of giving cash, known as Eidi, which is given to children and family members of older relatives or friends of the family. However, the acquisition of fresh currency notes for this custom often turns out to be difficult for citizens.

In order to facilitate the public, the state bank of Pakistan (SBP) has made considerable efforts and distributed new banknotes in the amount of 27 billion rupees in 17,000 commercial banks nationwide. Bank officials have explained that the citizens can be their respective banks with their CNIC on a base for the first time with their CNIC, although there is no designated system to get new notes.
