The Grammy winner also thanked his husband David Furnish for helping him during his ordeal.

“To my husband who is my rock because I haven’t been able to come to a lot of the previews because as you know I’ve lost my eyesight so it’s difficult for me to see it but I love it “To listen to it,” John continued in a video posted to TikTok.

“And boy did it sound good tonight! OK! Thanks for coming!”

Sunday night’s charity event attracted a star-studded crowd including Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Lily Collins and Elizabeth Hurley.

The “Rocket Man” singer previously spoke about his eyesight in early September, revealing that he only has “limited vision in one eye” after struggling with a “severe eye infection” over the summer.

“I am recovering, but it is an extremely slow process and it will take some time before the affected eye can see again,” John wrote in a statement at the time.

He further discussed his condition in an interview with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” last week.

“Unfortunately I lost my vision in my right eye in July due to an infection in the south of France and I have not been able to see for four months now,” he said.

“And my left eye isn’t the best, so there’s hope and encouragement that it’ll be okay, but I’m kind of stuck at the moment…”
