Erik Menendez dishes in prison “bullying” in the new Podcast interview

The convicted double murderer Erik Menendez, the younger of the Menendez brothers, competed in a rare interview with the “2 Angry Men Podcast” for over three decades in the California prison system.

“The prison was difficult for me,” Menendez told the hosts, Harvey Levin von TMZ and his own lawyer Mark Geragos, who spoke of his past. “I had a lot of bullying and trauma – it was a dangerous environment.”

Menendez and his brother Joseph “Lyle” Mendnez are both in California Richard J. “I was bullied violently and it was traumatic,” he said, noting that such treatment often occurs for many inmates that are not busy with prison gangs.

“The prison can be difficult and there is a lot of suffering in prison,” he said.

Menendez, who was convicted of his parents in 1989 for her parents in 1989, has been praised behind bars for his good behavior in the past three decades. He said he did his best to avoid, defend himself or deal with aggressive prisoners.

“I was separated from Lyle, and I remember the day that I was told that Lyle was just attacked and broken his jaw … I think he’s over there, I go through this and at least We protect everyone, maybe when we were together.

The brothers, who were sentenced to life in 1996 without probation, were finally brought to the same facility in 2018.

The conditions have improved over time, he added.

“I think (the California Ministry of Corrections and Rehabilitation) does its best and I want to work with them. I know that Lyle really changes this culture today,” he said. “But 25 years ago it was an even darker, more dangerous place.”
