As he prepared to welcome his first child, Aaron Taylor-Johnson told people that he had a lot of practice with Sam Taylor-Johnson’s children.

During a conversation with The Guardian in 2024, Sam Taylor-Johnson was asked whether her children feel prejudiced due to the 23-year age difference between her and her husband.

“Not really. Or if they do, I don’t think they care. They see two loving, happy parents, so they don’t really notice. They just think people are a little mean or crazy,” explained she.

The proud parents are very protective of their children and Aaron Taylor-Johnson previously told Esquire why they don’t reveal much about them in interviews.

“I’ve probably talked to you more about my kids and Sam than anyone else. I really have nothing to hide and am secure in what we have. But I’m not going to expose the things that are really valuable to me,” he said.

However, the actor shared that he always knew he would “start a big family.”

“I knew I was going to be a young father. I knew I would have lots of children,” he told the publication.

After Aaron Taylor-Johnson became a father, he cut back on his hectic work schedule to spend more time with his wife and children.

“My whole thing, my priority is my family, my children and my wife. This is my future. I don’t really care what role comes next,” he told The Independent in 2013.

The star admitted he doesn’t “live for acting.”

“I live for my wife and my children and I wake up with them and I enjoy that,” he said.

In a 2019 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Aaron Taylor-Johnson explained his family’s decision to live their lives largely out of the spotlight.

“We live behind walls,” he said. “Literally, figuratively and consciously. You will never see our children or any of our most personal moments on social media or in the press. We have our professional lives and our lives together and we keep them apart.”
