“Everything is possible” – Ranieri does not deny that Pellegrini could leave Roma

AC Milan are reportedly looking for a midfielder and with negotiations likely to take place with AS Roma over Alexis Saelemaekers, Lorenzo Pellegrini could be an interesting player.

Roma are set for a bit of a change and several players have already reportedly been made available. Also on that list was Pellegrini, who has been a constant threat for the Roman club this season.

Despite this, Claudio Ranieri has stated that it is unlikely that he will leave mid-season, but he did not deny that a departure could happen in a recent interview with ANSA, carried by Milan News.

“Can Pellegrini leave Roma in January? Anything is possible in the world of football, but I don’t think so. When a team comes, he likes to go. But that applies to everyone. However, I feel like he’s honestly not going to go.”

Considering that the Giallorissi have already proposed a deal including Bryan Cristante In the deal for Saelemaekers, there is a possibility that the Rossoneri will consider Pellegrini instead, especially considering it was him previously taken into account by the club.

The midfielder is strong as a number 10 or even as a deeper midfielder, so he could come in and challenge for a starting jersey or provide a strong replacement for Tijjani Reijnders.
