Mike Williams has played almost no role for the Pittsburgh Steelers since he was acquired in a midseason trade a month ago. In his four games with the team, he recorded exactly one catch for 32 yards and one touchdown.

And that happened in his first contest with the Steelers. He hasn’t been targeted since, which is a wild statistic considering 10 different Steelers caught a pass in Sunday’s wild 44-38 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, head coach Mike Tomlin believes the team will find a way to better incorporate Williams into the offense:

Tomlin says it’s “a matter of time” for Mike Williams to become more involved. Says that no one is pressing the panic button, that he was not significantly involved in the crime up to this point.

In fact, the team has posted a 3-1 record since joining the Steelers and sits comfortably atop the AFC North with a 9-3 overall record. But the veteran wideout is another weapon opponents have to worry about, and it would make sense for Pittsburgh to find a way to utilize him.
