FC Copenhagen 1-2 Chelsea, UEFA Conference League: reaction after the game, reviews

In contrast to the population expectations, Enzo Maresca opted for a well -rotated line -up, especially in the attack, with many fresh faces and less stained options. It was not a whole “B-Lineup” like in the league, but that might be due to the fact that many of these B-Teamer were borrowed in winter.

Perhaps not in contradiction to the expectations of the population, and regardless of Chelsea’s line -up, Copenhagen did not make any efforts to actually play football and sit behind the ball with all eleven players as soon as the game started.

Unfortunately, this was a big challenge for the blues, and in the first half we were unable to advance in the first half. Two shots, both out of the finish line, are everything we had to show for 75-80%.

Maresca called the changes at half -time, and those who paid almost immediate dividends when Reece James defeated the goalkeeper, even though she was not hit with enormous power.

A little more luck was to be followed when our advantage was almost canceled … But Viktor Claesson’s Tight-Winkel shot hit the inside of the post and jumped back to Robert Sánchez ‘hands.

Copenhagen kept trying an equalizer, pressing up and putting on her effort, but we dealt with all of this quite comfortably – although our threat level was not increasing exactly, although the home team was much more open. We seemed to be satisfied enough to be on the safe side … and were rewarded deeply in her own defensive third by poor sales from Copenhagen, which meant that George Enzo set up excellently for a well -closed goal.

And that should have been, but we seem to be absolutely unable to keep clean leaves, and one or three missed marking orders in a free kick, Copenhagen gave a free header to make it a rather nervous finish in the last ten minutes and the stop time.

In the end we did the first leg job. Of course, bind far away.
