“Fight for my life: ‘Lori Vallow Daybell gives a final interview before the court proceedings

Phoenix (Azfamilie) -Nur a few days before her top -class legal proceedings in Phoenix begins, Lori Vallow Daybell sat down so -called “Doomsday Mom” for an interview with True Crime Arizona.

“I’m fighting for my life here,” she said to True Crime Correspondent Briana Whitney.

Regardless of what is happening in this process, Vallow Daybell was already convicted in Idaho for conspiracy to murder her children Tylee Ryan and Jj Vallow and her husband’s first wife, Tammy Daybell. She is already ready to spend the rest of her life behind bars without enabling the possibility of probation.

That was Idaho. According to her conviction, she was delivered to Maricopa County in November 2023.

First of all, she is ready to represent herself in a murder trial process in the death of her fourth husband Charles Vallow 2019, who was shot by her brother Alex Cox in Chandler. At that time he claimed self -defense and died months after the shootout of natural causes. A jury was sitting and opening statements are planned for Monday.

But why represent yourself?

“I’m not a lawyer. I have no training to be a lawyer. There is something I found out when I came to this prison, you know,” she said. “This experience went for five years, ok. I previously went through an entire exam in my other state. And then I was brought to Arizona here to make even more serious charges.”

Other questions were also raised.

“There is this idea of people in public who feel like they have nothing to lose themselves. That is a kind of challenge, a kind of show – a game for you. Do you agree?” Asked Whitney.

“I never hear anything about this stuff because I am in a room in a room 23 hours a day and we have no access to any kind of news,” she replied. “So I didn’t know that people said that, but of course I wouldn’t agree.”

Vallow Daybell also says that it is about having a quick examination, not only for yourself, but for other women with whom she is detained.

“There are intelligent, strong, beautiful women here who have been here for eight years because of family strags. It is the same, as my case, a family tragedy, no crime. A family tragedy, and they are waiting and they are faced with the death penalty for a family penalty,” she said. “I know these women. I speak to them every day. I try to raise, strengthen and help women in this prison, and I think that’s the purpose of why I’m here.”

She described what happened in her life as a “family tragedy” and that she was wrongly convicted in Idaho.

“Why are we in the place where we are now?” Asked Whitney. “You had this life. Why throw away?”

“It is a tragedy. Families have tragedies,” she replied. “Things happen and there was a domino effect of tragedies in my life. And that’s really sad.”

When Vallow Daybell was asked to describe the domino effect, he smiled and replied: “It is probably something that we should save for the next time.”

In terms of her mindset, Vallow Daybell says that she is “a bit stressed” when the attempt moves closer.

“It’s a big case. It’s stressful. There are many things,” she said. “There are many legal things that need to be done. We work on things every day. We work late into the night. The biggest challenge for me in this process will be logistics.”

Your exam is expected to last up to the next month. You can watch it in Arizona’s family as a whole.

“Do you think you can convince a jury, this jury, not to find it guilty?” Asked Whitney.

“I don’t think I’m here to convince someone. I think I’m there to say the truth,” replied Vallow Daybell. “I defend myself against being wrongly accused.”

Take a look at the full interview in the video player at the top of the report. Note: There are sections of the video that are steamed at the request of your legal team, which were in the room at the time of the interview.

It will be brought back to court in June in connection with the conspiracy in 2019.

Her husband, Chad Daybell, was sentenced to death last June after being convicted of murdering Tammy Daybell, JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan. The two children were missing in 2019 and their bodies were found the following year in the East -idaho -Hof by Chad Daybell.
