Find cheap turkey at Walmart, Target and more

Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and while some people are getting a head start on their holiday shopping, there are bound to be a family or two out looking for good deals.

Grocery chains across the country have spent the last month informing customers about how much they expect to spend this year.

Take “Save A Lot” for example. The chain promised customers that they would celebrate Thanksgiving by feeding eight people at the same time for $30, the company told USA TODAY.

ALDI’s Thanksgiving deal: Pay $47 and feed a family of 10

Discount grocery store ALDI has capped its Thanksgiving package at $47 for a family of 10, less than $4.70 per person. The prices remain valid until Wednesday.

ALDI announced on October 16, 2024 that customers can get everything on their Thanksgiving shopping list for less than $47. Prices are lower than they were five years ago in 2019.

Target’s Thanksgiving deal: Four people for $20

Target customers can feed a family of four for $20, the retailer said.

Amazon Fresh’s 2024 Thanksgiving deal includes enough for a family of six and is capped at $30 or $5 per person, the company said. The deal runs until Thursday.

Amazon Prime members can get a 365 by Whole Foods Market Frozen Whole Turkey for $1.49 per pound, the company said in an announcement.

Lidl’s Thanksgiving meal deal: Pay $45 and feed a family of 10

At Lidl, customers can feed ten people for $45, or less than $4.50 per person. The list includes a turkey from Shady Brook Farms, as well as sweet rolls, jellied cranberries from Lidl and more.

Kroger’s Thanksgiving Meal Deal: $4.85 per person for the Freshgiving package

Kroger’s Freshgiving package feeds 10 people for less than $50, the company says. The package includes stuffing, turkey, potatoes and more and costs customers $4.85 per person.

Walmart’s “inflation-free” Thanksgiving meal deal

Walmart announced plans this year to sell holiday items so cheaply that families can get them for less than $7 per person.

Walmart is calling its Thanksgiving meal “inflation-free” and has compiled a shopping list for customers at www.walmart.com.

The list includes items such as a whole 10- to 17-pound honeysuckle white turkey for $12.41, Campbell’s Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup for $2 and Marie Callender’s Southern Pecan Pie for $5.63.

Save on A Lot’s Thanksgiving deal: Eat for 8 people for $30

At Save A Lot, customers can feed a family of eight for $3.75 per person, a company spokesperson said.

The deal runs through Thursday and includes turkey, sweet potatoes, rolls, macaroni and cheese, whole grain corn or sliced green beans, pumpkin pie and whipped cream, the spokesman said.

Sam’s Clubs Thanksgiving meal deal: 10 for under $100

Sam’s Club is offering a Thanksgiving package that will cost customers less than $100 to feed a family of ten. The company has promised that items from its own brand, Member’s Mark, will be part of the deal.

Dollar General marketed its Thanksgiving deals with the slogan “Buy two, get one free.” Customers can choose what suits them from a list of items, the company said.

Customers can use the offer in three ways:

Pumpkin Pie Package: Purchase a 6-cup Keebler mini pie crust and a 12-ounce container of Eagle Brand condensed milk, then receive a free 15-ounce canned pumpkin from Clover Valley.
Green Bean Casserole Package: Purchase a 10 ½-ounce can of Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup and a 2.8-ounce container of French’s fried onions, then receive a free 14 1⁄2-ounce can of Clover Valley green beans.
Sweet Potato Casserole Package: Purchase a 29-ounce can of Bruce’s Yams and a 2-pound bag of Clover Valley brown sugar, then receive a free 10-ounce bag of Kraft mini marshmallows.
