The 54-year-old won the Heisman Trophy in 1993 when he was a Two sports star with the Seminols. Ward played guard for the FSU basketball team and at the same time served as a quarterback for the football team. In 1993 he completed almost 70% of his passports for 3,032 yards and 27 TDs with only four interceptions. He also hurried for 339 yards and four points.

The Seminols went 12-1 this season and defeated Nebraska in the Orange Bowl with 18: 16 to win the national title after taking first place in the last AP Top 25 of the season. The only loss of the FSU came against Notre Dame in November when the Fighting Irish won in a Matchup of No. 1 and 2 teams in the country 31-24.

Ward chose basketball over the NFL and was a first choice of Knicks in the 1994 NBA design. He played nine seasons with the franchise before ending his career with the Spurs and Rockets. WARD achieved an average of 6.5 points per game over 580 appearances with the kinks and shot 41% from the field.

Ward is hired to replace Patrick Crarey II after CRAREY trained the Rattlers less than a week ago. Crarey was only at school for one season when the Rattlers went into a total of 14-17 in the Swac with a victory in the 14-17 conference tournament.

This record was an improvement in the eight games in the 2023-24 season when Florida A&M went 6-23 in conference and only 4-14. The Rattlers had no winning season as a member of the Meac since the 2007 NCAA tournament.
