Florida State transfer WR Destyn Hill commits to LSU

WR Destyn Hill has committed LSU from the NCAA transfer portal.

Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman reported on his involvement this morning.

Hill just completed his second season with the Seminoles. This came after a gap of two years at the time he enrolled at FSU. Still, he appeared in 10 games as a rookie but missed all of that fall after suffering a season-ending injury during spring training.

In those outings last season, Hill had six balls for 87 yards.

Hill entered the portal at the start of the cycle just over a week ago.

Now Hill is the eighth transfer addition for the Tigers. He stands next to one of the best players, not to mention the best receivers, in the portal Barion Brown (Kentucky – No. 6 WR, No. 14). They are also joined by TE Bauer Sharp (Oklahoma)CB Ja’Keem Jackson (Florida)QB Michael Van Buren (Mississippi State)CB Mansoor Delane (Virginia Tech)and DEs Jack Pyburn (Florida) and Jimari Butler (Nebraska).

Hill, a New Orleans native, also played high school football in-state at Edna Karr. A four-star prospect in the 2021 cycle, he was the No. 109 overall recruit there. He was also ranked as the No. 18 WR in the class and the No. 5 player out of Louisiana. This is according to On3’s industry ranking, a weighted average that takes into account all four major recruiting media companies.
