Following the Crimson Tide’s lopsided Week 13 loss to Oklahoma, several Alabama football assistant coaches are on the hot seat

Alabama’s season ended Saturday night with a 24-3 loss to Oklahoma. The Sooners knocked the Crimson Tide out of the running for the SEC Championship and the College Football Playoff. Their AP poll ranking fell to No. 13, and their CFP rankings also fell to No. 13.

Part of the blame can be attributed to Alabama’s three assistants, whose seats will likely be warm whether it’s the College Football Playoff or one of the highest-rated non-CFP bowl games.

SB Nation’s Roll Bama Roll called for each assistant’s positions over the next year.

“You can’t let Nick Sheridan get back on the charter flight,” Roll Bama Roll’s tweet said. “And Wommack has exactly two games and one offseason to correct…the honeymoon is over. This is a criminal waste and a game changer. Everyone should train for their job in the next 13 months.”

To make matters worse, the Crimson Tide’s three points are the fewest they have scored in over a decade. Quarterback Jalen Milroe threw three interceptions and managed to rush for under 200 yards while completing 42.3% of his passes.

The Auburn-Alabama Iron Bowl game in Week 13 is a must-see for the Crimson Tide

If the Crimson Tide were to salvage their season, an Iron Bowl win would be paramount. The Tigers’ bowl hopes are uncertain as they have five wins this season.

Alabama has won the last four meetings, including last year’s now-infamous Hail Mary victory, affectionately referred to as “4th” in Tuscaloosa and less affectionately in Auburn. and 31.” is known.
