22:58 CET – Real Madrid missed out on a chance at the top spot in LaLiga after being held to a 3-3 draw by Rayo Vallecano in a thrilling Madrid derby.

One might have expected this to have been a routine win for the Spanish champions, but it was anything but as Rayo took a 2-0 lead before Real responded with two goals before half-time. It looked like Rodrygo had scored the winner, but Isi Palazon quickly equalized.

In the end it was a draw that will feel like a defeat for Real, a win for Rayo and a pleasure for the neutrals.

22:50 CET – The last game of the day in France between Reims and Monaco ended goalless.

With Marseille also drawing earlier, Ligue 1 leaders PSG go into tomorrow’s clash with Lyon knowing they will finish the round at least four points ahead.

22:42 CET – At the start of the weekend, Juventus were the only unbeaten team in Serie A and Venezia were at the bottom.

Both facts were in jeopardy late in the game before Dusan Vlahovic scored from the penalty spot in the 95th minute to give the Old Lady a somewhat fortuitous 2-2 draw at the Allianz Stadium.

Incredibly, the draw is Thiago Motta’s side’s tenth draw of the league season. Equally notable is that they remain unbeaten in Serie A despite not being in the top five!

22:24 CET – No more, Rayo Vallecano is back on level terms! 3-3, that’s a classic.

22:20 CET – Real Madrid have turned things around after Rodrygo’s stunning (albeit deflected) strike made it 3-2 against hosts Rayo Vallecano, who had taken a 2-0 lead.

22:15 CET – Esperance Tunis and Al-Hilal Omdurman were among the winners of the African Champions League today – see all the results here.

21:50 CET – In an exciting first half in Vallecano, Real Madrid came back from a 2-0 deficit and faced great difficulties to equalize 2-2! Real fell two goals behind after Rayo fired two quality balls into the box and the visitors were unable to deal with either.

However, Los Blancos found their way back into this exciting game, first through a stunning long-range shot from Fede Valverde and then through a precise header from Jude Bellingham that found the bottom corner.

21:32 CET – It’s halftime in Serie A and Juventus go into the break with a 1-0 home lead against Venezia thanks to unlikely goalscorer central defender Federico Gatti.

Juve remain the only team unbeaten in Serie A and that record doesn’t appear to be ending tonight.

20:58 CET – Over in France, Auxerre and Lens played to a 2-2 draw. In the late game there, Monaco faces Reims and has the chance to finish second with a win.

20:45 CET – In the last Bundesliga game of the day, Werder Bremen continued their good form and beat hosts St. Pauli 2-0. The victory, Werder’s third in a row, catapults the club to seventh place in the table.

8:30 p.m. CET – In the final Premier League game of the day, Nottingham Forest scored two late goals to secure a dramatic 2-1 win over visiting Aston Villa.

The two teams were neck and neck in the overall standings before kick-off – no more, Forest are in the top four!

In Spain, Sevilla beat Celta Vigo 1-0.

20:05 CET – In today’s late game in Spain, Real Madrid make a quick trip across the city to play Rayo Vallecano.

The LaLiga champions have not been at their best this season but paradoxically have a chance to go top with a win tonight, thanks largely to Barcelona’s recent poor form – the Catalans play tomorrow.

19:54 CET – Napoli came back strongly against Udinese, scoring three unanswered goals in the second half to help the Italians win Serie A 3-1.

It’s a great result for title-seeking Napoli as league leaders Atalanta won earlier in the day.

Juventus next hosts bottom-placed Venezia in Italy.

19:18 CET – At half-time in Nottingham, Forest and Aston Villa are 0-0, still with few chances.

18:56 CET – In the first Ligue 1 game of the weekend, top clubs Marseille and Lille played out a 1-1 draw.

With Lille scoring late, Roberto De Zerbi’s OM will feel this was a missed opportunity to close the gap on leaders PSG.

18:30 CET – In Spain, Mallorca moved up to fifth place in LaLiga after a 2-1 win over Girona despite losing a man in the first half. The Islanders are having a bit of a season and are largely flying under the radar.

Now it starts in LaLiga: Sevilla against Celta Vigo.

18:05 CET – It’s all over on Premier League grounds and where there was a lack of excitement at the Emirates as Arsenal were frustrated by Sean Dyche’s Everton in a dull 0-0 draw, 10-man Liverpool drew 2-2 Draw against Fulham exciting encounter from Anfield!

Liverpool did so well to salvage a point with a late goal from Diogo Jota after Fulham had made things difficult for the league leaders throughout and refused to settle for a point.

Elsewhere, Ipswich scored a dramatic late winner to put more pressure on Wolves and Gary O’Neil and Newcastle beat Leicester 4-0 to continue their resurgence.

17:43 CET – In the final Premier League game of the day, leaders Nottingham Forest host Aston Villa, who are themselves riding high on a big win in the Champions League midweek. The big news from the team is that Jhon Duran is up front for the visitors and Ollie Watkins is only fit enough to be on the bench. Can the super sub make a name for itself right from the start?

17:00 CET – It’s now half-time in Premier League games and the headline is: Fulham lead 10-man Liverpool 1-0 after Andreas Pereira scored a smart finish to stun the league leaders, who also saw Andrew Robertson sent off .
