DCU actor Sean Gunn explains the differences between his and Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lords

DCU actor Sean Gunn explains why he’s not worried about fans thinking his Maxwell Lord is the same one Pedro Pascal played in Wonder Woman 84.

Although no actor has yet been cast to play Batman, the character made his DCU debut, albeit via silhouette, in the latest installment of the adult animated series Creature Commands. While the silhouette introduced a beefier Batman, Gunn told Rotten Tomatoes after the episode aired that they intentionally kept the hero in the shadows to avoid having to commit to a final design.

“When they first gave it to me, we saw a lot more Batman and I said, ‘I’m not ready to get into that. I’m not ready to get involved in it. I’m not ready to get involved in that.’ to that,’ so I was just like, ‘more silhouette, more silhouette, more silhouette,'” he recalled with a laugh.

Gunn continued to praise the DCU’s Batman, confirming that the hero will play “an important role” in the universe. He pointed out that Batman has already made an impact on the DCU by “defeating pretty dangerous, scary people like (Doctor) Phosphorus, who’s pretty tough.” He added, “We’re going to do great things with him.
