Former NFL star Antonio Brown is accused of failing to disclose property during bankruptcy proceedings

The trustee said: “(Antonio) has failed to disclose his pre-application (transfer) of property and his interests in various companies, has failed to comply with the debtor’s reporting requirements in a timely or appropriate manner, and has failed to demonstrate that his plan is feasible.”

In the filing, the trustee accuses Antonio, 36, of failing to disclose that he transferred three properties before filing for bankruptcy.

The trustee also said Antonio “appears to be the owner of several social media handles… which are estate assets that the debtor failed to disclose in a timely manner.” Additionally, the trustee said Antonio’s X-page, formerly known as Twitter, have a link to a website that sells products with Antonio’s likeness.

In addition, the trustee said Antonio failed to timely file his operating reports in the bankruptcy case for September 2024 and October 2024.

The file also states: “Several adversarial proceedings regarding debt repayment are still pending against the debtor.”

Additionally, the trustee told the court, “The financial information disclosed by (Antonio) is contradictory.”

They added: “(Antonio) reported his gross monthly income was $39,166.67 with monthly expenses of $27,868.09, but his operating reports show only a single deposit of $200 in June 2024 and two Withdrawals of $15 in July 2024 and August 2024. There is no explanation The operating reports show that the additional revenue in the amount of $195,663.35 was deposited or spent, and there are no details of the alleged expenditure of $139,310.45 shown in (Antonio’s) schedules. It is impossible to determine which of the documents submitted by (Antonio) honestly reflect (Antonio’s) financial position.”

They continued: “(Antonio’s) failure to disclose transactions and report accurate financial information demonstrates that (Antonio) did not propose the plan in good faith and requires denial of confirmation.”

As In contact As previously reported, Antonio filed for bankruptcy in May. In his petition, he listed liabilities of over $3 million. The former NFL star earned over $80 million over the course of his career.

In his filing, Antonio revealed that he owes $1.2 million in debts from a civil lawsuit, a potential six-figure sum to a jeweler, $300,000 to a marketing firm, $170,000 to a law firm, $168,000 -dollars with American Express and $100,000 with various other debts.

Zul requested that a judgment entered against Antonio not be expunged as part of the bankruptcy. In his lawsuit, Zul said he loaned Antonio a custom-made pendant and a diamond-cut Cuban link chain for Antonio’s “photo ops and social media video shoots.”

Zul said Antonio should return the items on May 18, 2022.

Zul claimed Antonio let him walk around but never returned the items. He sued Antonio and received a judgment of $123,000.

A final judgment of $968,000 was entered, but was overturned due to a procedural issue. Zul requested that the $123,000 owed not be paid. Antonio denied all allegations of wrongdoing and requested that Zul’s petition be dismissed.
