Former Pittsburgh Steelers WR visits the third AFC North Team

The former recipient of Pittsburgh Steelers, Diontae Johnson, could soon continue his tour through the AFC North.

According to Aaron Wilson from KPRC 2 Houston, the 28-year-old has a visit to the Cleveland Browns, who, alongside Jerry Jeudy, could use additional help in the position.

Steelers fans do not need an introduction to Johnson, which was selected with a selection of the third round from 2019, which the team from the Oakland Raiders acquired in Antonio Brown Trade.

With 25 points in 77 games with the team, he played 4,363 yards in parts of five seasons and even earned a Pro Bowl nod in March 2024 before using the sixth round in Iowa defensive Lee Lee for Cornerback Donte Jackson and a 2024 pick.

Johnson was quite productive with the Carolina Panthers during his short term when he picked up 30 passes for 357 yards and three touchdowns in seven games.

The Baltimore Ravens, one of the most sought-after recipients at the end of the trade last season, acquired Johnson together with a sixth round of 2025 in exchange for a fifth year 2025.

Despite the Ravens’ own need for additional talent for the capacity position, Johnson never found the later Divisions Champions.

In his first competition with the team in week 9, he started 17 snapshots, although in the following three games he only brought in 23 repetitions in week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles, which led to one-game suspension.

Johnson was finally released and later claimed by the Houston Texans in December. In the regular season finale, he achieved two catches for 12 yards before earning a reception for 12 yards in a Wild Card Round victory over the Los Angeles loborts in the playoffs.

Houston also let him go against the Kansas City Chiefs before his division round, and while the Ravens Johnson claimed, they only did so for compensation purposes.

If Johnson were captured by the Browns, he would reunite with his former quarterback in Kenny Pickett, who was together for two years as members of the Steelers.
