Fort Walton Beach man arrested after investigators find photos and videos of him sexually abusing a child: OCSO

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) – A Fort Walton Beach man was arrested after officials said they found photos and videos that showed evidence of him sexually abusing a child.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as 70-year-old Hugh Logan Jackson.

Jackson was arrested on Pocahontas Drive on Thursday, November 21, following an investigation by the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation began after the victim’s mother reported the incident to law enforcement.

The OCSO release said investigators discovered that Jackson sexually abused a child between the ages of 7 and 10 on multiple occasions from April 2019 to August 2021. During the investigation, officials said they found more than 250 images and videos of child sexual abuse involving the victim on electronic devices.

“Jackson said it was a special ‘game’ that he and the victim played together,” the release said.

Jackson was charged with sexual assault of a victim under the age of 12, more than 30 counts of promoting the sexual performance of a child and more than 30 counts of possession of child pornography, the release said.
