How to use Simple Edit in Fortnite

To enable easy editing, go to your game settings, scroll to the “Game” tab, and scroll down to the “Buildings” section. Here you can activate the “Easy Edit” function as well as the “Tap to easily edit” option. Be sure to click Apply to save your settings and Easy Edit will be available the next time you play.

Simple Edit allows you to edit builds at the touch of a button. Which part of the build you look at depends on how the build is edited. As you look at different parts of your build, you’ll see a preview of the edit. Then, as if by magic, the build is edited to your liking, eliminating the step of selecting tiles.

Still, there are disadvantages to using Simple Edit. It only gives you access to a smaller selection of edits, whereas the regular editing system allows you to use all editing options.

It’s surprising it took this long Fortnite to implement such a feature. It’s perfect for players new to building or looking to learn, so it’s unexpected to see this debut eight years after the release of Fortnite.
