Fox CFB analyst ranks Alabama in the top 10 – touchdown Alabama

Joel Klatt during the Michigan Wolverines game against the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Conference

While many college football analysts remain skeptical of the Alabama Crimson Tide, one analyst appears to have the Crimson Tide in high regard.

FOX college football analyst Joel Klatt released his personal top 10 rankings for X on Monday afternoon. There were four SEC teams on the list – Texas (No. 2), Georgia (No. 5), Tennessee (No. 6). ) and Alabama (No. 10). Clearly, Klatt holds the SEC programs in high regard.

Alabama is ranked as the No. 11 team in both the AP Poll and Coaches Poll. The Crimson Tide is one spot behind Boise State in both polls. Klatt has to believe Alabama’s resume is strong considering he ranked them ahead of a Boise State squad that has one blemish on its resume – a three-point loss to Oregon in week two of the season.

Alabama will have to hope that the College Football Playoff committee considers them a playoff-caliber team this Tuesday when the latest College Football Playoff poll is released. The one thing Alabama fans should keep an eye on is where Alabama stands compared to Miami on Tuesday night. If Alabama is ranked higher, their chances of making the playoffs increase significantly. If Miami is ranked higher, Alabama’s hopes of making the playoffs are all but over.

This is the most important thing for fans to know. Klatt obviously values the Crimson Tide more highly than Miami. Will the College Football Playoff Committee be there? We’ll have to wait and see.
