Fox Corporation has hired a longtime sales executive to serve as vice president of its streaming sales and advertising initiatives for its local broadcast division, Fox Television Stations.

In a social media post on Monday, Nelson Ferreira announced his new role at Fox Television Stations, where he will serve as vice president of streaming sales. His job is in New York City.

Ferreira has nearly three decades of sales experience: He joined Katz Media Group in 1998 as an account executive before moving to Cox Media Group in 2009. He spent more than ten years at Cox Media, eventually becoming Senior Director of Sales for Cox Digital Group, later called Gamut.

For the past two years, he worked for My Code, a multicultural digital media platform that empowers Hispanic, Black, LGBTQ and other communities through publishing and marketing initiatives.

In his new role, Ferreira will work with Fox Television Stations and its new business unit called Fox Local Extension (FLX), which synergizes various Fox products across traditional and networked TV platforms to help advertisers leverage over 150 curated premium networks to reach. FLX claims to reach more than 92 million unique households through its various products, including local television.
