“Francis Ford Coppola’s drama about 27-year-old John Grisham gets a new streaming home”

Fans can enjoy a popular legal drama film from Francis Ford Coppola on a major streaming platform. 1997s The RainmakerRstarring Matt Damon is available on Paramount+ since December 1st.




Based on the 1995 novel of the same name by John Grisham. The Rainmaker follows Damon’s Rudy S. Baylor, a young and idealistic graduate of Memphis State University Law School who takes on a corrupt insurance company. The film features a star-studded cast, including Mickey Rourke as J. Lyman “Bruiser” Stone, a determined and successful ambulance chaser who hires Rudy. Danny DeVito plays Deck Shifflet, a former insurance adjuster with questionable ethics who works with Bruiser and Rudy. Drummond and Madison Iseman (I know what you did last summer) as Sarah Plankmore. The collaboration between Lionsgate Television and Blumhouse Television will expand on the themes of Coppola’s original film.
