Free streaming service adds four new content partners for free

Everyone TV, the company behind UK free-to-air broadcast services Freeview and Freesat, today announced that it has added four new content partners to its recently launched streaming service Freely, meaning the platform will now offer UK TV viewers more than 40 streamed content offers live channels and 74,000 hours of on-demand programming.

A relatively new addition to the streaming landscape, Freely launched in April 2024 primarily with the aim of providing UK viewers with live streaming versions of many of the country’s most popular TV channels, without the need for a traditional antenna or satellite dish. However, the addition of AMCNI UK, PBS America, GB News and QVC announced today adds more diversity to Freely’s content offering and only increases the sheer number of channels and on-demand hours Freely users have access to.

AMCNI UK is a joint venture with Paramount Global, which operates a portfolio of free-to-air, genre-themed entertainment channels in the UK – including the action-based Legend channel and the self-explanatory true crime channel – as well as a “WATCH FREE UK”. app.

PBS America will offer programming of documentaries and factual content through both an on-demand app and a live Freely channel. Titles include the work of renowned US cultural documentary filmmaker Ken Burns as well as current programs from the award-winning Frontline team. PBS America also has a growing reputation for acquiring public history programs from around the world.

GB News is the latest entrant to the UK news landscape, claiming to offer a different take on current events to the more established UK news channels, while long-standing QVC platform will finally offer two of its UK TV shopping channels to Freely along with a QVC+ On-demand player.

The primary QVC channel is set to offer 16 hours of live retail programming every day, while the second new Freely channel, cleverly named QVC2, will offer shows dedicated to style, gardening and beauty products.

The four new channels join UKTV and public broadcasters BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, STV and S4C on the all-streaming platform Freely, with more smart TV, operating system providers and content planned in the future -Partners are promised.

Freely is currently available on recently launched UK TV models from Hisense, Bush, Toshiba, Sharp, TCL, Amazon Fire and Panasonic.
