“Nach season” conversation

Feel somehow strange to organize a game thread in the run -up to the last four, but thanks to Fox we have at least one more basketball game in Georgetown this week. The Hoyas will compete against the state of Washington for the first time in the first College basketball crown on Monday evening. Maybe this tournament will be a big deal. Maybe it won’t. I think it will not be very similar for the fans if your team wins a few games, it will be much more interesting.

By Monday morning, Georgetown only entered Drew Fielders in the transfer portal. This means that the Hoyaswill looks a lot as if it had it played almost three weeks ago. Obviously, Thomas Sorber is still not available after a rose -to -frenzy operation, not to mention the fact that he tests the NBA waters. Caleb Williams was seen in the social media in teams, so that the steady Frosh can play for the first time since March 9th. Williams missed five of the Hoyas in the last seven games.

The Cougars, who did the NCAA tournament last season and made it out of the first round, miss two of their top players thanks to the portal and timing of this event. You will spend this season and the next season in the WCC with people like Gonzaga, St. Mary’s etc., while the PAC-12 will be rebuilt.

For me, the best things that could come from the crown are 1) A meeting with George Washington in halftime and 2) a chance to finally beat Depaul in the final this season. None of these games probably seems to take place, but we can always hope, don’t we?

Ok, post your comments below!
