We worked with our patron Rory Cellan-Jones to create a beautiful 2025 calendar featuring his beautiful rescue dog, Sophie, who became a social media sensation!

Following the success of our recent Sophie from Romania giveaway, Rory has launched a brilliant new fundraising project with his famous pooch to support our work: a Sophie from Romania calendar!

This A5 calendar features 12 stunning photos of Sophie and is available to purchase from the Cure Parkinson’s online shop. Profits from calendar sales will support our groundbreaking research and help us find new or repurpose existing treatments that have the potential to slow, stop or reverse Parkinson’s.

For those less familiar with Sophie’s background, she came home to Rory from her native Romania almost two years ago, just before Christmas 2022. She ducked behind the sofa and spent most of her time there for the next seven months. Since then, Rory and his wife Diane, with the help of behaviorist Si Wooler, have worked hard to help this anxious pup build trust and confidence. Rory documented Sophie’s journey with the hashtag #SophieFromRomania and Sophie has captivated audiences around the world. She even inspired Rory’s latest book, Sophie from Romania: A year full of love and hope with a rescue dog.
