“Get Millie Black” Season 1, Episode 2 Recap: “Hibiscus”

Corsica didn’t shoot Curtis; It was the man who is now dead when Millie arrives. He has a symbol cut into his shoulder, which may be the identifying mark of a new gang called the Bombers. Holborn is at the crime scene and Millie is very salty towards him; After some back and forth, Holborn attacks, citing her involvement in the death of a little boy named Victor. Millie is shocked; this is not generally known. She asks her former partner in London, Meera (Anjli Mohindra) to get information about Holborn.

Romeo’s mother sends Millie a video of “Miss Maxwell”, who turns out to be Janet. She presents the video evidence to Barracat, who agrees that Janet should be brought along. Millie and Holborn pick Janet up from the Somerville estate, but when they arrive things are strange. The gates are open and the guard station is empty. Millie calls for backup, but again doesn’t wait. Inside there are signs of struggle.

Then Millie and Holborn start finding all the bodies. A maid on the floor; a guard, concealed with his weapon drawn; Mrs. Somerville was shot in the kitchen; another woman is dead in the room beyond; Marva, the cook who hides under the counter and is murdered anyway; and lastly, Mr. Somerville was shot dead in his bedroom – the entire household massacred. Neither Janet nor Freddie are among the dead.
