Get this 55-inch OLED TV for just $600

If you’ve ever bought an OLED TV, you’ve probably been blown away by the color – and devastated by the price. Good news: The new 55-inch Sansui S55VOUG OLED TV is down to just $600, by far the lowest price I’ve seen for a model of this size. That’s why I consider it the best of the great Black Friday TV deals available this year. To put that in perspective, the 55-inch LG evo C4 series currently sells for $1,200. So don’t be surprised if this up-and-coming rival sells out soon.

Sansui? I know; You probably don’t know the name. But as I detailed in my recent story on the OLED battle, it held up quite well compared to the competition. Remember when you had never heard of Hisense or TCL? They’re nearing household name status and Sansui could be the next to do the same.

From the files that sound too good to be true, Sansui’s new budget OLED is even cheaper for Black Friday. Come for the vibrant colors, stay for the karaoke mode!

Some important things to know about this TV: Sansui offers an actual printed user manual that is clear and comprehensive (a rarity in modern consumer electronics). You also get a backlit remote control, which I really like (and I wish more TV manufacturers offered it).

I particularly like the integrated karaoke function, which uses the remote control as a microphone while you sing along to music on YouTube.

Of course, what I like most is the iridescent color. Is it as bright and perfectly balanced as LG and Sony’s OLEDs? Maybe not quite, but it’s definitely a big step up from most LED-backlit LCD TVs.

Unfortunately, the built-in speakers aren’t great, especially at higher volumes, so consider adding a soundbar to your cart. (Coincidentally, my new favorite soundbar is also on sale for Black Friday.)

Good news for beginners: This TV comes with a printed setup guide that is actually informative and useful. And the remote has a backlight, something you don’t see often – even on TVs that cost twice as much.
