Gisele Bundchen celebrates major success amid baby news

Gisele Bundchen has a lot to celebrate this year after reports that she was pregnant with her third child, which would be her first with boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

But the supermodel also received great recognition in her industry, as Models.com honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The star gratefully accepted the milestone on Instagram: “Thank you for the kind words!” she said.

Explaining her achievement, the publication expressed its appreciation for the model, stating that she “continues to redefine the industry standard and embody significant power moves in fashion and beyond since her debut in 1995.”

“The foundation she laid in the ’90s propelled her to supermodel stardom in the 2000s, making her one of the most sought-after models of the era,” they continued.

The award was truly a testament to the supermodel’s legacy, as she has been one of the highest-paid models in the world since 2001. In 2012, she reached the top spot on Forbes’ list of top-earning models.

For Gisele, this success is certainly the culmination of a busy month, as she celebrated her daughter and son’s respective birthdays in December. Their daughter Vivian celebrated her 12th birthday on December 5th, while Benjamin turned 15 on December 8th.

With her children all growing up, Gisele revealed earlier this year what it was like raising teenagers and tweens.

The model said: “It’s great to have teenagers and pre-teens,” adding she’s learned “so much” about the age group and how to change communication styles.

“The most important thing is to make time for conversations because I think they change, every day is a whole new world,” she said. “And it’s so important to kind of talk, it’s a big deal.”

Notably, Gisele chose home births when she gave birth to Benjamin and Vivian, despite being advised by her doctors that it was “too dangerous” and that she should opt for a cesarean section instead.

As she is reportedly expecting her third child at 44, the star might opt ​​for the same practice again.

She previously gushed that she had “always dreamed of giving birth naturally at home.”

She admitted her previous insistence on a home birth was based on her fear of hospitals after her twin sister Pati developed double pneumonia when she was 10.
