Give the gift of nature: ODFW’s 2025 offerings to get outside and support conservation are on sale now

SALEM, Ore. (KTVZ) – All 2025 Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife products, including hunting and fishing licenses, wildlife management park permits, waterway access permits and more, are now available online at MyODFW.com or at license sales locations.

Licenses and permits are valid from January 1st through December. 31, 2025 and make a great gift for family and friends who love the outdoors – fishing and hunting year-round, access to over 20 ODFW wildlife refuges, and kayaking and boating.

Conservation stamp artwork depicting Oregon’s native fish and wildlife and portrayed by award-winning artists also makes great gifts. Or consider donating to the Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund on behalf of your loved one to support grant projects that fund opportunities for wildlife viewing, urban conservation, community science, and other outdoor recreational activities.

A note about gifting hunting and fishing licenses: If you already have an ODFW account and are purchasing for family and friends who also have one, the group purchase feature makes it even easier to give gifts. To gift an annual license to a new customer, you need their name, date of birth, address, email address and other personal information. Call ODFW’s Licensing Department at 503 947-6101 for assistance.

Gift ideas:
Waterway access permit($19 for the year)
A great gift for kayakers, rafters, etc.: Permit is required for paddleboats (SUPs, rafts, drift boats, kayaks, canoes, etc.) 10 feet and longer and sailboats under 12 feet. Fees support the Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention Program and provide grants for boating facilities. Purchase via guest checkout (in the “General” category), no account required and transferable. Therefore, write the recipient’s name in the customer information, then print out the authorization and give it to them.

Parking permit for wildlife areas($30 for the year)
For the wildlife watcher or hiker in your life, the annual permit allows parking in all of ODFW’s 20+ wildlife areas (including Sauvie Island in Portland). Purchase via guest checkout (in the General category), no ODFW account required. Also included when purchasing an annual hunting license.

Conservation stamp(from $20)
Conservation stamps make a great gift for art and nature lovers and support the protection of Oregon’s most endangered fish and wildlife and their habitats. Collectible stamps can be purchased for as little as $20, with most signed art prints priced at $35. Buy art prints using the online form. Artwork of upland birds and waterfowl is also available. Note that the 2025 artwork is not yet available for purchase.

Donate to OCRF on someone else’s behalf(from $10)
Donate to the Oregon Conservation and Recreation Fund to create new opportunities for wildlife viewing, urban conservation, community science, and other wildlife-related recreational activities. Complete your purchase through ODFW’s licensing system or donate $10 on behalf of your friends or family directly through the Conservation and Recreation Fund website at https://www.oregonisalive.org/ by typing their name in the Write donation field.

Licenses for mussels($10 annually)
Crab and clam fishing are easy, family-friendly activities. ODFW guides make it easy to get started and show you where and when to go. You can also gift simple clam and crab fishing equipment.

Fishing licenses ($44 per year)
Fishing in Oregon 365 days a year with opportunities in all seasons. Combine a license with a fishing license plate and other endorsements for the salmon, steelhead, halibut or sturgeon angler in your life. Hunting licenses ($34.50 annually)

Youth Licenses ($10 per year for youth ages 12-17)
Still one of the best deals around and the same price as since 2016: Youth combination licenses are just $10 (includes fishing, hunting, plus mussel license and Columbia River Endorsement).

Or gift a Youth Sports Pac for $55 (residents only), includes fishing, shellfishing and hunting license, combination fishing license, spring turkey, cougar, general or controlled bear tag, elk and deer tag, validation of upland birds and waterfowl and the Columbia River Basin advocacy).

To gift a youth license, the recipient must already have an ODFW account and ID number. A parent or guardian can create it for them online or through a licensing agent.
