GM – Löwen, who can probably pick up the WR Jameson Williams option

Palm Beach, Florida-Laut General Manager Brad Holmes, the Detroit Lions will probably exercise the option of the fifth year for the broad recipient Jameson Williams.

The 24-year-old Williams received his first season with 1,000 meters and entered the last year of his rookie contract, but the Lions will probably buy time for an extension.

“Look, it works that we will most likely do so,” said Holmes on Monday during the annual league seat. “He was an enormous player for us last year.

“He still scratches the surface. I think he also has more in it, so I just think that it makes sense for us to do what we can do to keep it nearby.”

In the NFL design of 2022, the Lions exchanged 20 places to make Williams for the 12th overall selection of Alabama. In 2024 he experienced a breakout season as an important part of Detroit’s 15 victory season as No. 2 recipients next to all-Pro Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Williams achieved seven touchdowns as a deep ball threat, while he achieved 61 rushing yards and a lavish touchdown.

Holmes certainly sees Williams as a potential long-term fit, but the Lions also prioritize possible extensions for all-pro-security Kerby Joseph and Star Edge Rusher Aidan Hutchinson in this low season. Both players enter the last year of their rookie deals.

“There are also many extensions with regard to extensions that will hopefully come, but it is only one that you don’t know from a financial point of view what will happen,” said Holmes. “Because a wide recipient is very expensive. You can see that they are good problems.

“I don’t want our fans to think that we simply don’t do the lively movements because we don’t want it,” he added. “It is only so that we are disciplined and make sure that we maintain the win, but now also win.”
