Google notes that the use of AI is widespread in the US…

A study commissioned by Google Workspace and conducted by market research firm Harris Poll found that 82 percent of participants use AI tools at work and 98 percent expect it to have an impact on their industry within the next five years.

The survey found that more than 50 percent of AI users regularly share their insights and experiences with colleagues, with 75 percent of them suggesting generative tools.

88 percent of respondents said they would use AI to start a task that seemed overwhelming.

They also use AI to increase productivity and improve communication. For example, 70 percent use it to write email replies or to overcome language barriers.

When it comes to improving writing, 88 percent believe AI can help them hit the right tone.

Additionally, 87 percent of respondents believe AI can make it easier for them to write long emails on their phone, while 90 percent said they would feel more confident attending meetings on the go if they knew they were taking notes .

Yulie Kwon Kim, VP of Product at Google Workspace, explained: “Executives are using AI not just as a tool to increase efficiency, but as a catalyst to advance their careers.”

To improve management skills, 86 percent believe AI could help current leaders become better managers and 70 percent are interested in improving their management skills using AI.

The companies surveyed more than 1,000 U.S.-based workers ages 22 to 39 who currently hold or are pursuing leadership positions with their employers.
