Graham Smyth reports what he has now heard of Patrick Bamford in Leed’s United Training

Patrick Bamford has not played for Leed’s United since New Year’s Day when he picked up a thigh injury, but the striker has been in senior training in the past few weeks.

While Leeds is in the middle of the red heat of the struggle for automatic transportation, Daniel Farke has confirmed that Leeds have no injury concerns. These include Bamford and Max Wober and his knee.

Mateo Joseph has struggled all the season and only scored three goals for Leeds, while Joel Piroe played 90 minutes in the last five games in the last five championship games without a goal.

Bamford was not in the squad for the draw against Swansea, and of course the former England man is no stranger to injuries and is therefore kept under closure. But Leeds need everything you have to win in Luton.

Graham Smyth told Patrick Bamford to play well in training

The Leeds team could look remarkably different from the team that was pulled with Swansea. Karl Darlow will replace Illan Meslier, as confirmed by Farke, while Junior Firpo and Ao Tanaka are expected to come in.

Farke kept his cards near his chest when he spoke about Willy Gnonto, but the Italian is “ready” and he could come for Brenden Aaronson or one of the two Leeds wingers who are currently below average.

Bamford could also be named on the bench. Smyth told the Inside Elland Road Podcast that Bamford cuts off well in training: “I think you are available (Bamford and Max Wober after you have returned for training).

“I think Bamford has been in training and training in training in the past few weeks,” continued Smyth on Friday in the Inside Elland Road Podcast.

Stuart Dallas called Patrick Bamford as a potential secret weapon

Bamford in recent years has been miserable. A shadow of his former self, but hardly because of him. In the second half of last season it seemed to be light at the end of the tunnel, but it is not.

He did not score a single goal this season and could not start in the championship for Leeds. But Bamford, who is rarely from the headlines, is still time to make himself a hero for Leeds this semester.

Seven games left in which Bamford could be involved. Bamford could get a chance from the bank with Joseph and the gates that dry out for Piroe could get Bamford in the coming days and weeks.
